Beginning December 14, Eurostar will introduce its first direct train service connecting London and Antwerp, enhancing travel convenience between these two European cities. The new route will provide four direct services every day, operating from London’s St. Pancras station to Antwerp, and will eliminate the current requirement for passengers to switch trains in Brussels.

The direct journey is set to take about 2 hours and 41 minutes, offering a quicker alternative to the existing travel plans that necessitate a transfer at Brussels-Midi. This development is expected to significantly reduce travel time, making it more appealing for passengers who frequent this route.

However, travelers should note that the service will initially be one-way only. Due to the absence of UK border and customs facilities at Antwerp Central Station, direct return trips to London are not yet possible. As a result, passengers heading back to London will need to continue changing trains in Brussels until further arrangements are made.

This new service aims to enhance connectivity between the UK and Belgium, making Antwerp more accessible to travelers. The city is well-known for its vibrant fashion scene, bustling diamond trade, historical landmarks, and diverse culinary offerings, making it an attractive destination for both tourists and business travelers.
